Music in Lars Von Trier's Films

In Nymphomanic, as in many other films Von Trier reverts to well known classical pieces, although it must be said that this very film starts with a Rammstein Heavy Metal track.
The explanation of the Fibonnacci numbers and the way Bach applied this to his music together with the breaking down of the parts makes the music central to the theme of the film, to the action - takes over the film. This explanation of music is very similar to how Music and its composition were made central to the film Amadeus by Miloš Forman
and continues like this
My favourite Von Trier music is the one he chose to use for Melancholia. Wagner's Tristan and Isolde seem to be perfect for the frozen images and the clashing of Melancholia with earth. and is the one major musical number that plays repeatedly throughout its 2-hour running time.
And this basic repeat in the end of two planets in love and therefore in collision.
